Question: What is the range of pay for mailroom clerks? I'm sure it depends on what company right? I applied for a position at a music company, the office isnt huge.. i used to intern there so i know what its probably like. But are the possibilities of being paid decent? I don't need too much, I just graduate college... im sure most are hourly and im thinking $14/hr? would that be too much for a mailroom clerk?
I wish i had asked Eddie back in 04....
lol
Answer: I worked in the mailroom a few summers ago and I made a little over $9 an hour...but it was one of the lower positions. But some of the higher positions paid around 12-15 dollars an hour.
It all depends on the company and where you live, but I would think that $14 an hour would be a little low, especially if you have a degree. My mailroom co workers only had high school diplomas. But that isn't too bad to be starting off. I'm sure you will be able to work your way up to more money.
Question: When is summons considered served? Certified to my office that I visit infrequently and live in other county.? Certified letter delivered to my office (big organization, 1,000's of employees), mailroom clerk signs for letter. I live in another county, work in a satellite office and have the letter sent to me months after it was signed for. I list the main address on correspondances but don't go there. Now I've missed court date. Is that a legal summons?
Answer: Depends on why you were summonsed to start with. If it related to a business matter, and that main address is listed with the secretary of state, then yes, it was legal.
