Question: What kind of administrative support do work from home small business owners need the most? I'm thinking along the lines of support staff--like administrative assistants, web design, marketing, etc.

Answer: well for my small home business my wife has become the accountant , the bill collector bill payer , the answering service. so this year we have outsourced our billing to a CPA. they now run the payment and the collection of fees owed. this has allowed the wife to work less and allow me to do what i am skilled in doing which is appraisal work. so depending upon what you are trying to accomplish here i would say anything that can be outsourced is feasible. find out how wide of a target market you want to attract. if you want to be some ones answering service then how many different clients do you want or do you want to specialize say for just private practice Dr offices. that way you don't have to learn every ones terminology for hey i am on vacation here. for me letting me do my job instead of being the chief of everything was a big relief.

Question: What would be involved in a selling support role - for Administrative Assistant job title? I've seen this vacancy for a retail store, but all it says is it's a selling support role responsible for providing a comprehensive administrative support service to the store in the areas of HR and Store administration, so doesn't say what it would involve exactly. Does anyone know what the duties might include for this kind of job?

Answer: Making sure people do their job. Hiring and reprimanding people. Ordering items. Making sure vendors are checked in. Also items get stocked.

Question: What is the United Nations Administrative Support Assessment Test about? Im planning to finish high school this year and i want to get a job at the UN and it says i have to take the United Nations Administrative Support Assessment Test which i don't much about??? any can help????

Answer: If I recall the test is divided into two parts. One is general or world knowledge and the other is administrative; I seem to recall there being some simple math questions included in part 1 also. My suggestion is - if you can - take a secretarial course - also in this day of computers being able to type properly is always a good thing. It will provide you with office organizational skills that will help with part two.

Answer: Meet all deadlines with accuracy. Also, if you are a support person, keeping accurate track of the Administrators is extremely important.

Answer: Sounds about right - the skills etc required can vary greatly from business to business

Question: Temp jobs in administrative support is so boring? I have worked many jobs as a temp in the area of administrative support. How boring! They never seem to have anything for me to do and I have to spend all my effort making work to fill the day. I spend so much effort trying to look busy that I am so tired at the end of the day. Being bored is so exusting. Dont you think?

Answer: !. Because those tasks are what the permanent employees don't want to do, and; 2. They require very little training (investment on the employer's part). Being bored is more mentally exhausting than anything I can think of. Being busy is stimulating.

Answer: You will be doing, office work like answering phones, processing mail, typing, filling, and all other duties as assigned. (which could be everything else in the universe)
