Question: Do Administrative Assistants for real estate typically work weekends? I have an interview for a job tomorrow as an administrative assistant for real estate, and I was just wondering if they typically work weekends? The place is open 7 days a week, but for me at this moment I am unable to work EVERY weekend. I could maybe work 2 weekends at the most each month. I was just wondering if anyone knows anything about the hours typically worked for that position. On the website it says that the job is full time, working during the day. I really don't want to miss out on this job, because its hard to get an office job around here. Thank you, any answers are greatly appreciated.
Answer: You will likely have to work some weekends. Just be prepared for asking that on the interview, but hold that question until you hear the rest of the job and whether or not you might like it. You don't want to start out an interview saying you can't work certain times. They may even tell you up front. Just wait to hear about the job, and if they don't mention it, when they ask you if you have any questions, bring it up then, but again, don't come across negative or they will think you are uncooperative and won't consider you. Be casual about asking. Good luck
Question: Is it California law that if you work as staff at a Real Estate Company do you have to hang your license there I have been interviewing to be an administrative assistant at a Real Estate Company and they said I would have to hang my license with them. Is that the law? Or just their own personal policy?
Answer: law, you can't have it with 2 brokers.
Question: what is the best thing to say when company ask for salary requirment or expected salary? what are some good things to say when a company ask for salary requirement during the interview? rather than asking if there are certain salary level within the company? I have a interview on tuesday as a administrative assistant for real estate. If I ask for too much, they won't hire. If I ask for too low, it is my mistake. what are good things to say, asking for a salary that will make me get hired at the same time? any experience?
Answer: " I am ready to consider the your very best offer" will be the ideal answer !
If you give a specif answer, you lose- you either will be asking too low or too high, which may cost your chances of getting selected .
But please do lot of home work, by visiting salary.com and NACE Survey( for beginners), and arrive at the expected salary range. If you are pressed too much to quote your figure, you can then give them the minimum salary acceptable !

Answer: You should have a salary range in mind. If possible, research what similar positions pay. It'd be nice if you had some idea of what they're thinking of paying.
If they ask about salary requirements, try saying, "I'm flexible."
Or you might try, "Eventually I'd like to be making $____, but I'm willing to prove myself first." Employers usually like flexibility.
Question: How do you start a business as a virtual assistant? I want to target real estate agents and help them with administrative work. I want to be certified as a virtual assistant, but wondered how necessary it would be to obtain that right away. I have an Associates degree and a Bachelor degree. I also have about 7 years experience working as an Administrative Assistant (or similar). I work full time right now, so I wanted to do work primarily online and part time. How do you get it off the ground? Where are some good places to market yourself, cheaply?
Answer: The best routes to take are to research the process of starting a business as well as the industry you're interested in.

Question: Question for San Diego Real Estate Agents!? My name is Linda Muñoz and I am interested in becoming a Real Estate Agent Assistant. I was wondering if there are any Real Estate Agents in San Diego in need of a Licensed Assistant or know of an Agent looking for a Licensed Assistant.
I have experience as a Loan Consultant, however, I am ready to make the transition into the “Agent” side of the business. I am excited and eager to start a promising career with the right Company and Agent!
I have excellent sales, administrative as well as customer service experience. In me, you'll discover a reliable, detail oriented and extremely hard working individual, one who will serve as a model to encourage other employees to demonstrate the same high standards of professionalism and integrity.
Feel free to email me if you are interested. I can fax or email my resume to you.
Thanks!
-Linda
(Please...only serious answers or inquiries, thank you)
Answer: IN San Diego that market has slowed down a lot. The people that are making the money are the one who put up all the for sale signs, and the guy who dress in a clown outfit and spins and big arrow pointing to the empty open house.
Question: How do I quit my first job after just a few weeks? I'm a High Schooler and I recently got a job as a secretary (excuse me, administrative assistant) at a local real estate company. But I have the option at another possible workplace, the chiropractor that I go to needs a person to come in a few days a week and answer the phone, nothing major. But I feel as though the chiropractor would be a better fit for me, calmer, and I'm interested in the chiropractic field, so the experience would be amazing. However, I personally know my boss at the real estate agency through my dance, and I know my supervisor due to the fact that she is an instructor for a sport I'm in. I don't want to make any hard relationships in life, but I really would like to take this new job, could anyone tell me what the best course of action would be? Thank you!
~Catty
Answer: well, it really depends on what you want to do... Stick it out or work for the other guy but either way give two week notice...

The company I work for manages 23 different residential properties….I enter ALL the rent for all 23 properties (thousands of checks) I do ALL the move-out paperwork which either issue refunds, or owe statements.
